Hey!

Bella Chauny is an actor, singer, and dancer from Lima, Perú. Growing up with limited opportunities for young performers, she took initiative at fourteen, traveling two hours each day to El Centro de Lima to sing in the Juan Diego Flórez Municipal Choir and perform in local theater. She later began her professional dance career with the Arturo Chumbe Dance Company, appearing on local television for a year.

 

She continued her artistic journey in Buenos Aires until the country’s worsening situation compelled her to leave in search of stability and opportunity, ultimately bringing her to Webster Conservatory. Since then, Bella has built a strong body of work in theater, including Lizzie in Lizzie the Musical, Fairy Godmother in Cinderella, and Estrella in Sueño. Her on-camera credits include Shifting Tides (Dir. Ricky Fishbeck) and I’m Here (Dir. Haroto Fujimoto), as well as a recent Biolage commercial.

 

Bella continues to work on her craft through training and collaboration, while staying engaged with the social and political issues that shape her work. She is deeply grateful for her community in the U.S. and hopes to keep making her family proud. As her mami says: “Otra raya al tigre!”
